Tri-Stars Shine at the New Balance 1/2 Ironman Race!

Seven Tri-Stars took part in the New Balance 1/2 Ironman race - Steve Burns, Jan Frith, Teri Hustins, Jim Kerr, Alison Keighan, Troy Lanigan and Debi Wood. Steve, Teri, Jim and Debi were all doing their very first 1/2 Ironman race and now know what all the fuss and excitement is about! For Jan, Alison & Troy this race was just a tune-up on the road to Ironman Canada on August 28.
As a first time coach of 7 racing athletes I found myself barely sleeping the night before - I had enough nerves/excitement for everyone! It was so exciting to see everyone head off in their swim heats knowing that a day of unknown challenges and rewards lay ahead. Everyone completed the race with flying colours.
I am so proud of all of my Tri-Stars. You're awesome!!
